Allison + Anthony | University Chapel, Lexington Virginia
Updated: Feb 9
Allison + Anthony tied the knot in an elegant ceremony on the campus of Washington and Lee University, inside the historic University Chapel. Family and friends gathered for the classic morning ceremony with traditional hymns and faith-centered message as Allison walked down the aisle with her father to Scottish bagpipes.
Allison intentionally included loved ones on her wedding day--from wearing jewelry from her grandma and Anthony's mom, both deceased, to the satin ribbon on her bouquet from her mom and grandmother's wedding dresses to borrowing her sorority sister's veil. Her sorority sisters spent the morning helping with final touches before she walked down the aisle.
The couple first met during a work conference in 2017--a setup that worked out years later! After dating long-distance, Allison moved to Lexington and fell in love with its culture and history. It was super important to the couple that their wedding showcased local talent, spaces, and the beauty of where they now call home. The Graziani's wedding logo was a nod to the historic Lexington brick all over town.
Their morning reception held at The Patton Room, gave guests an elegant, fresh take on the standard wedding reception, including a macaron tower and brunch bites while greeting guests after their first dance. The couple waltzed to "Edelweiss" played by the Czech Symphony Orchestra, a nod to both of their Czech heritage.
Lime Kiln, a local favorite and must-experience live music destination, hosted Anthony + Allison's evening reception with dancing under a lighted tent to a live band and Virginia BBQ. The casual band party atmosphere was the perfect way to end the day for two music lovers and their guests. Their day was truly all about their love of Lexington and music.
Here’s to you, Allison + Anthony, and a life filled with all the things your beautiful wedding day held for you 🤍
